Daily shelter transforming table

The Daily Shelter an ingenious & fun design by Ingrid Brandth. A simple looking table at first glance easily transforms into a playhouse by pulling down hidden panels to form walls and then raising the roof by pushing up the table surface. Inside a child can “hide from scary sounds, ghosts, or family members,”  Watching the video tickled me so much I wish they had one of these when I was little but thinking about it I'd like one now.

The Daily Shelter table is inspired by Ingrid Brandth grandfather Sigvald Andreas Brandth. He was an inventive designer who based many of his ideas on excitement, humor and secrets. And just like his many designs, this table has a hidden story. Via inhabitots

  1. great idea! Ours kids use a blanket. It seems like playing under the table is a never ending game.
